United Communities High School Challenge
In August of 2021, Election Bridge in partnership with the non-profit Everyone Eats Foundation launched the United Communities High School Challenge – also known as the UC Debate Challenge at the Carter Center. UC Debate Challenge – is an extra-curricular activity in which students engage in mock proceedings of their local municipality. These Students play the role of representatives from different local neighborhoods and governing officials to propose solutions for issues identified by their respective community members, as well as officiate over procedures defined in the municipal charter. The students will learn and utilize guided research methods to build and support their argument for effective solutions to these unique problems.
